Chinese New Year in Thailand in 2024, the Year of the Dragon

Thailand will celebrate Chinese New Year from February 10, 2024. This year, we enter the sign of the dragon, here's what you need to know.

All people born in 1940, 1952, 1965, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012 and therefore 2024 can be "Dragons" but you have to check according to the month, the simplest being to use a program which asks you your date of birth and tells you the Chinese sign, you will find one on this site .

Dates and locations of official Chinese New Year 2024 celebrations

The 2024 Chinese New Year celebrations in Thailand officially kicked off on February 3 in Bangkok's Chinatown, heralding cultural performances and street entertainment throughout February to mark 49 years of friendship between China and Thailand.

Official festivities supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand are underway in five locations.

Bangkok

In Bangkok, celebrations take place on Yaowarat Road from February 1 to 29, with the theme "Celebrating the Golden Year" and an illumination called "Golden Dragon Tunnel."

Nakhon Sawan

February 3-14: “108 Miraculous Years of Faith” Chinese New Year Pak Nam Pho, Nakhon Sawan

Ratchaburi

February 9-11: Chinese New Year 2024, Ratchaburi

Songkhla

February 9-13: Hat Yai Chinese New Year, Songkhla

Suphan Buri

February 10-12: Suphan Buri Chinese New Year "16 Years Miraculous Dragon" at the Museum of Dragon Descendants, Suphan Buri

February 10-11: 21st Chiang Mai Chinatown Festival, Chiang Mai
