A foreigner driving at high speed against the traffic caused an accident that injured five people in Chonburi, eastern Thailand.
In the accident that occurred on Friday, September 8, the foreigner was also injured and taken to hospital.
He crashed into four vehicles with his white Subaru sedan, registered in Bangkok.
The man, whose nationality is not yet known, is believed to be around forty years old and probably from a Western country. He was shirtless and wearing only shorts at the time of the incident.
According to witnesses, his vehicle was chased by one of the vans after he hit it from behind and then tried to flee.
His sedan overturned after the accident.
Rescuers had to use a pry bar to open the badly damaged car door to free the unconscious man before rushing him to Chonburi Hospital.
Two Isuzu pickup trucks, one with a Bangkok license plate and the other with a Chonburi license plate, a Suzuki sedan with a Bangkok license plate, and a Honda scooter with a Chonburi license plate were lying next to the sedan.
All vehicles were damaged in the accident.
The driver of the Bangkok-registered van, Piyachart Yajinda, 60, said his parked vehicle was hit by the speeding sedan driven by the foreigner.
He added that the car was driving the wrong way.

Injured Nattaya Nawinprasert, 67, said she was riding a motorcycle when the impact of a collision threw a vehicle into her path.
Police investigators are studying security camera footage to determine the sequence of events before taking legal action.
