In Thailand, a father dresses up as a woman to participate in the school's Mother's Day celebration

So that his daughter wouldn't be the only one without her mother at the school's Mother's Day celebration, a dad dressed up as a woman.

On the occasion of Mother's Day , which is celebrated on August 12 in Thailand, Ban Noen Kroi School organized an event specially for students and their mothers.

For 15-year-old Cream, who was raised by a single father, it seemed her mother's seat would remain empty.

But, nothing breaks a single parent's heart more than seeing their child saddened by not having their mom or dad around on special days of the year, so their dad has decided otherwise.

Not wanting his daughter to feel left out, Joe Lookphonbodee found a wig and dress and attended the event as Cream's mother.

Joe is Cream's adoptive father.

The 48-year-old teaches physical education and health education at the same school as his daughter and is known as Teacher Joe to his students.

A local Thai media outlet interviewed Joe afterward, and he said:

"Even though I'm a single father and stepfather, I always tell Cream that she's my daughter and I love her like my own biological child."

"I will do my best as a father and mother to take care of my daughter."

Asked later by the Bangkok Biz News newspaper, he said:

“When the school organizes activities for Mother's Day, I don't want my child to have an inferiority complex...

Personally, I am not ashamed because I love my child."

The proud dad immortalized this heartwarming experience on social media.

He captioned his video posted on TikTok: "I can be a mom to you hahaha."

In the video, Cream is seen paying tribute to her father, as her classmates do with their mothers, before standing up to hug Joe.

The girl, who was expecting an embarrassing moment, being the only one without her mother, can't help but smile.

The video immediately went viral, with over 395,000 shares and lovely comments defending the father's decision:

“What a great blessing for this relationship!

You both deserve the best, the best dad,” one user said.

"Suddenly very hot, I have tears in my eyes," posted another internet user.

Regarding her father, Cream said she found him "handsome and cute," adding that she didn't feel self-conscious about her father's suit at all.

“This year, on Mother's Day, I want to say that I love my father.

Thanks to him for raising me and making me happy.

"I feel like this life lacks nothing," the girl said.
