Fifteen Thai provinces are currently affected by severe flooding that has left at least 13 people dead.
Rescue teams have been mobilized for several days to evacuate residents from flooded areas and install pumps.
With water levels remaining high in the central and northern regions, the Thai Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rains that could worsen the situation this Saturday, November 8.
Severe flooding hits 15 provinces

Typhoon Kalmagi, now reduced to a depression, contributed to the heavy rainfall that has affected these provinces in recent days.
The central region, particularly Ayutthaya , is facing rising water levels.
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reported on November 7, 2025 that severe flooding continued to affect 15 provinces across Thailand, impacting more than 3,000 villages and over 470,000 people.
Currently, 13 deaths have been confirmed.
The central region remains the most affected, with more than 97,000 outbreaks in 9 provinces.
Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya is particularly affected by the water spill from the Chao Phraya dam.

The water level in the river at station C.35 has risen 1.12 meters above the bank, and is expected to rise further.
Other affected areas include Suphan Buri and Nakhon Pathom, where the water levels of the Tha Chin are 1.79 meters and 1.17 meters above the shore respectively.
Provinces such as Uthai Thani, Sing Buri, Chainat, Ang Thong, Pathum Thani and Nonthaburi are also closely monitoring water releases from the Chao Phraya Dam.
In the north of the country, five provinces were affected, with Phitsanulok and Phichit reporting two deaths.
Water levels have stabilized or begun to fall in most areas, particularly in Sukhothai and Kamphaeng Phet.
This situation could continue or worsen, as a low-pressure system brings new rainfall to several regions already weakened by flooding.
Heavy rain warning for the north, central and northeastern regions

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) warned on Saturday of isolated rains and risks of flash flooding in parts of northern, central and northeastern Thailand due to a low-pressure system.
The TMD issued a weather alert, warning that a depression covering the western part of the northeast would move towards the central and northern parts of the country, bringing isolated rain to those areas.
The affected areas include the western part of northeastern, central and northern Thailand, where heavy rainfall and accumulation of rain could lead to flash floods and overflows, particularly along waterways, foothills and plains.
The department urges residents of these areas to exercise caution, particularly farmers, who are advised to take measures to protect their crops from potential damage.
West and southwest winds will blow across the Andaman Sea and southern Thailand, also bringing heavy isolated rainfall to the south.
Strong winds and waves of 2 to 3 meters in height are expected in the upper part of the Andaman Sea, and could exceed 3 meters in the event of thunderstorms.
In the upper part of the gulf, waves are expected to reach 1 to 2 meters, with a risk of higher waves during storms.
All ships are advised to sail with caution and avoid thunderstorms.
Small boats in the Andaman Sea should remain ashore for the following day for safety reasons.
