Thailand will launch its new Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) on May 1, to simplify entry for visitors and track criminals.

Major General Choengron Rimpadee, head of Immigration Division 2 at Suvarnabhumi Airport, said the system will cover all arrivals by sea, air and land.
Travelers will need to complete their digital card application at least three days before their arrival, via the official TDAC website , available from April 28 for the first arrivals on May 1.
The TDAC will permanently replace the TM6 paper card, which has been suspended since last year pending this modernization.
"This new system is much more convenient," Choengron Rimpadee emphasized.
“Travelers will be able to access their digital card at any time, without relying on airline or airport staff.”
The TDAC will also be synchronized with the Immigration Bureau's biometric database.
This interconnection will allow authorities to automatically check travelers' criminal backgrounds and track their accommodation during their stay, eliminating the need for manual entries.
A tool against organized crime

Thai police officers pose in front of weapons seized during the anti-crime operation launched on Friday, March 21, 2025.
National Police Chief Kittharath Punpetch said on Friday, April 25, that the new system aims to prevent foreign criminal organizations from establishing a presence in Thailand.
One priority is to combat the use of Thai nominees to mask illegal business activities, particularly by some Chinese nationals.
According to Kittharath, the Chinese government and its embassy in Bangkok have expressed their willingness to cooperate closely with Thailand to stem this phenomenon.

Let's just hope for one thing: that on this Monday, April 28, the official TDAC website will not implode: between January 1 and April 25, 2025, Thailand welcomed more than 9,360,000 tourists, an average of 78,000 each day, and therefore 78,000 requests for TM6 online!
So… Bug or not bug?
Answer in a few hours!!!
Yes, you will have to take SQL courses.
And track and file everyone at the same time!
For the so-called good cause, an international profile!
Crime is organized, so it won't change anything at all, but receiving orders to control everyone via big companies...
Contrary to what is said in the first sentence, this does not simplify the entry of visitors, but adds additional complexity.
It is understandable that for Thais, visitors are criminals.
Besides being a stupid measure!
If I'm a criminal, I'm definitely not going to put my real address.
So in real problematic cases, it will be useless... a bit like the 90 days that were imposed after a bomb in Bangkok, but still not removed since (even though that is useless either).
And I'm not talking about the stupid TM30.
I never give my passport to the hotel like that, I don't risk being recorded.
The pink card is enough if they really insist, but this is very rarely the case.
And it was never a problem.
Finally, I advise expats not to set their country of residence to Thailand, you never know about taxes!
Providing an address in France costs nothing and, what's more, it's unverifiable.
We'll see, in spirit, it bothers me that we are taken for criminals.
Personally, I go to several different places, except with a chip, it could not locate me, so it is useless.
GG, as far as expats are concerned, immigration does not need this new version of TM6 to know our residential address: the 90-day document renews and updates this declaration of residence every 3 months...
So there is no point in playing with the feet of the immigration police by indicating a fictitious address in France or anywhere else...
