Tuk tuks are particularly popular with foreign tourists due to their open design, which gives passengers a clear view of their surroundings.

Renowned for their maneuverability, they can easily navigate congested streets and narrow alleys.

But they are especially attractive to new tourists; they are a noisy means of transport and the prices are much higher for foreigners than taxi-metters or taxis ordered with the Grab or Bolt apps.

A dangerous, noisy, polluting and very expensive means of transport is obsolete in dense traffic made up of scooters, street food, motorcycles, cars and trucks.

I think you have to move with the times.

Personally, I don't use this means of transport.

For Bangkok, I used motorbike taxis during my last trip to Thailand for the few trips I had to make.

Elsewhere I used GRAB.

Easy, cheap and I had no bad surprises...
