A violent street fight between two rival groups of Thai women broke out in Walking Street, Pattaya's red-light district.
The scene stunned foreign tourists, sparked a frenzy on social media and was picked up by national media.
On Saturday, May 17, at around 5 a.m., six women were filmed violently clashing in light rain in the bustling nightlife Pattaya
The 42-second viral video shows the women punching, kicking and violently fighting in the middle of the street, alarming nearby visitors.
Security guards from nearby establishments rushed to end the chaotic scene, while eyewitnesses claimed the fight allegedly broke out following a heated argument over job opportunities.
Pattaya City Police intervened quickly, arresting both groups and taking them to the station for questioning.
Despite efforts, the women failed to reconcile, leading to medical examinations and prosecution under Thai law.
This is not the only incident to occur in Pattaya this week. On Sunday, May 18, another altercation broke out between street vendors on Na Jomtien beach.

Police were called to a popular beach in Na Jomtien after a violent argument broke out between local street vendors.
They came to blows over sales locations and customers, in full view of tourists.
The incident prompted Colonel Pattana Robroo, Na Jomtien Police Commissioner, to personally intervene and inspect the scene.
The altercation, which took place on a public beach, sparked public concern and frustration.
Authorities reminded vendors that the beach is a common space, not a "boxing ring," and stressed that such conflicts must end with this generation.
The officials also urged all vendors to maintain public order and ensure that tourism is not affected by personal disputes.
Comments posted online reflected a mix of sarcasm, support for law-abiding sellers, and frustration at the recurrence of conflicts between sellers.
Some users criticized the tolerance shown to street vendors who operate without regulation, while others expressed disappointment at seeing fellow Thais fighting in public.
Increased violence in Pattaya and Thailand

The argument between the Thai women reportedly erupted over a work conflict and alcohol-fueled tension.
These two altercations are just the latest examples of a series of conflicts that regularly mar nightlife and tourist spots in Thailand.
In addition to quarrels between local workers, fights between drunken foreign tourists are common in red-light districts such as Pattaya's Walking Street or Phuket , often fueled by alcohol, rivalries or simple misunderstandings.
