Burglar, murderer, repeat offender rapist... at large!!!
I hope he will be arrested very quickly, incarcerated pending his trial before a high criminal court with a judge who (I hope!) will sentence him to life imprisonment…
It is clear that this individual no longer has a place in Thai society.
The only solution to prevent him from killing again is to lock him up for the rest of his days…
Meanwhile, the fact that he was released earlier cost the life of an innocent young woman who just wanted to live her life peacefully, and all that for 2 mobile phones and a few tickets…
Poor girl !!!
The news is getting more and more gloomy in Thailand.
Trans people who steal and attack with knives, the worst scamming women, psycho cases, drunk drivers, farangs, etc., etc.
I won't go this year.
“The only solution to prevent him from killing again is to lock him up until the end of his days… ”
I agree with you on a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
To shock, another "sure" solution still in force in Thailand is lethal injection, the last one having taken place at Bang Kwang Central Prison in 2018.
Then, the death penalty is the subject of debates that often oppose with great passion, those who prioritize above all the safety of the population (recidivism and future victims = "0" risk) to those who put forward the value of the human life of the condemned, even at the risk of, even a tiny, recidivism, during a conditional release or an escape.
Hello, Charles Alexis…
Indeed, the death penalty for the most serious crimes is another radical solution that eliminates the risk of recurrence.
Many countries since the post-war period have abolished the death penalty in their Constitution and laws, either in itself or in its application, with sentences commuted to life imprisonment without appeal or remission…
Despite this, there are still more than fifty countries in the world that apply and execute their death sentences and not the least: many Arab countries of the Near and Middle East (about fifteen in total), North Korea, Cuba, Burma, Japan, DRC, not to mention China, Iran, the United States and... Thailand.
