This Tuesday, December 23, Thailand will experience cold weather in the north, while the south remains affected by rain and thunderstorms related to the monsoon.

The forecast from the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) for this Tuesday indicates that a mass of cool air continues to cover the north of Thailand, maintaining cool to cold conditions, with minimum temperatures potentially dropping to 14 °C.

Bangkok will experience cool weather with a light morning mist.

In the south, the rains will remain present and could intensify locally.

24-hour weather forecast: cold in the north, thunderstorms in the south

The high-pressure system or the mass of cool air that covers the north of Thailand is weakening, while northwest winds continue to blow at altitude over the north of the country.

As a result, the north of Thailand will remain cool to cold.

Mountain peaks will be cold to very cold, with frost in some areas, while hills will be cool to cold.

The public is advised to take care of their health due to the cold weather.

In the south, rainfall will generally be low, but there will still be isolated thunderstorms as the northeast monsoon continues to cover the southern Gulf of Thailand and the south of the country.

In the southern gulf, waves will reach 1 to 2 meters, and more than 2 meters in stormy areas.

Sailors should avoid navigating in stormy areas.

Forecast for December 25–28: Heavy rain expected in the south

Precipitation will increase in the south, with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas of the south, as the northeast monsoon strengthens over the Gulf of Thailand, the south, and the Andaman Sea.

Residents in the south of the country should beware of the dangers associated with heavy to very heavy rainfall and accumulated precipitation.
