The closure of the Strait of Hormuz amid war in the Middle East threatens Thailand's oil supply.

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul ordered an intensification of efforts to ensure more oil and gas after the closure of the Strait of ’Hormuz, which cut access to about half of Thailand's regular supply.

The growing impact of the Middle East war on sectors ranging from energy to tourism was at the center of the meeting of senior officials chaired by Mr. Anutin on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Present at the meeting were the Minister of Transport, Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, the Minister of Finance, Ekniti Nitithanprapas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sihasak Phuangketkeow, and the Minister of ’Energy, Auttapol Rerkpiboon.

Well, on the 4th there was a shortage at the gas stations between Pattaya and Sattahip; on the 5th, everything improved.

QUESTION about the rotation of tanker trucks!

In TH, truck drivers are not limited to 35 hours and have a break every 4 hours 30 minutes, with a maximum of 9 hours per day.

At 20:00 on A2 of the 5, in France, the G O would have taken 20 cents of € at the pump… taxes are proportional to the price per litre, everything is fine!

In summary: NO PANIC, guys, everything is fine!

50% less oil arrivals in the coming weeks and months if the war in Iran drags on, search for supply of petroleum products and gas outside the Middle East, negotiations with other countries and Asian partners to minimise the impact of the shortfall of oil product arrivals and the risk (we should rather speak of certainty) of a rise in gasoline and gas prices in the coming months…

However, aside from that, the political authorities ask the Thais not to panic, not to make reserves.

In other words, we light the fuse of the dynamite box, but it will not explode… it's a joke, the box is empty!!!

Thai humor ???

Personally, I don’t drive much (max 300 km per month), I’ve always a 30 l fuel can in reserve in my garage, at most, I could siphon the 20 litres from my generator and I’ve also always a spare gas cylinder in advance at home…

Since Anutin tells you: “no panic »… Obey, by Zeus !!!

Thank you! Gentlemen Trump and Netanyahu.

Two disgusting scoundrels who kill and spread hatred and destruction to everything they touch.

2 recognized guilty criminals who work hand in hand to create chaos and disorder.
