A British tourist's video in Thailand went viral on TikTok after he shared the cost of his purchases at a local 7-Eleven.
The TikTok user @middlenamemason, who has nearly 800,000 followers, recently posted a video showing his purchases at a 7-Eleven store in Thailand, which surprised the British.
His video has since garnered nearly 60,000 likes and dozens of comments, with many lamenting the rising cost of living in their country.
In the clip, the traveler guides viewers through his mini shopping spree, showing what he was able to buy for the equivalent of £2.50 (around €2.80 or 104 baht).
“Here’s what you can buy with £2.50 in a 7-Eleven in Thailand,” he says laughing, before picking up his first item.
“First, we buy this vitamin C drink for 20 baht, which is 47 pence.”
“Next, we buy a Sprite for 19 baht, which is about 46 pence.”
The snack selection doesn’t stop there.
“Next, there’s a jar of Skittles for 25 baht, which is 59 pence, it’s crazy.”
“To finish, a Kinder Joy (Kinder chocolate bar) because I don’t know what else to buy, for 33 baht.”
“That’s £2.50 spent.”

As if there weren't enough annoying tourists... in Thailand, I don't really see the need to relay...
All the more reason to practice double taxation.
The tourist's purchasing power allows them to easily pay their entrance fee to Raja.
In India, some sites have a preferential rate for the Buddhist community from neighboring countries.
Comparing Thai prices is not something to be done without considering income and cost of living.
I don't know if it's absolutely necessary for this kind of person to tell us about their trip to Thailand…
