They only see thugs and troublemakers.
No respectable tourist will want to come here. »

As long as the senior officer and head of the Patong police department does not understand that only a permanent presence of at least 20 police officers (5 groups of 4) who patrol and move permanently on the 100 meters of Bangla Road between 8pm and 3am, to intervene in a preventive manner, identify potentially aggressive groups, under the influence of alcohol and drugs and in an immediate repressive manner, this kind of fight will repeat itself week after week…
Obviously, this assumes that the police have a different conception of the word 'work' than wearing out their pants in their office chair…
This already constitutes a revolution in their schedule, and they still need to not stop at every bar to finish their patrols more 'drunk' than tourists by 10 pm…
In short, a profound change in professional mentality that is not about to see the light of day in my opinion!
So the title is incorrect, as it's about a fight between tourists and a bar owner.
Some very brave tourists, 4 against 1…
For the rest, the police should be permanently present in this kind of hot spot.
Too bad Bangla is becoming more and more Bangdanlagueule because of a minority of tourists, residents and natives who have trouble managing their high testosterone levels… and alcohol, often!
