The country is welcoming international tourists during the high season with the 'Trusted Thailand Stamp' label (Trusted Thailand Stamp).
After the numerous cases of tourist kidnappings in Thailand to fuel fraudulent call centers in Burma and Cambodia, which led to a sharp decline in Chinese tourism, the kingdom is trying to reassure travelers with this new label.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), stated that it attaches great importance to security and service standards for international tourists visiting Thailand.
To enhance confidence and comfort, TAT has introduced the 'Trusted Thailand Stamp' label, a symbol of reliability and assurance for travelers across the country.
The project is carried out in collaboration with various public and private organizations, which evaluate tourism-related businesses and help them improve their services.
What is the Trusted Thailand Stamp?

Label 'Trusted Thailand Stamp' (Trusted Thailand Stamp).
The pilot phase covers four types of establishments:
- Hotels and accommodations
- Restaurants
- Large stores and shopping centers
- Leisure and attractions
These establishments are evaluated based on key security practices, including:
1. General security measures for tourists
Businesses must provide a safe environment for visitors by:
- Installing CCTV cameras in key areas
- Implementing clear emergency exits and evacuation plans
- Ensuring that staff are trained for emergency situations
- Implementing other security measures adapted to each type of business
2. Payment security controls
Businesses must offer safe and convenient payment options, including credit/debit card systems and electronic payment platforms that support multiple currencies and channels.
They must also ensure the protection of personal and payment information.
3. International communication services
To assist international tourists, businesses must be able to communicate in English or Chinese.
This involves having staff who speak these languages, using translation tools, and providing information documents or signs in English or Chinese.
4. Accessibility
Businesses must ensure that tourists can easily and safely reach their establishment, whether by public transportation, easy-to-follow routes, or shuttle services.
The 'Trusted Thailand' label not only improves the service standards of tourism-related businesses in Thailand but also reassures visitors that certified establishments prioritize service safety and reliability.

On November 13, 2025, TAT held a press conference and the official ceremony for the presentation of the 'Trusted Thailand' label at KBank Siam Pic-Ganesha Hall, Siam Square One in Bangkok, in the presence of representatives from the four categories of establishments.
Tourists can view the list of certified establishments on the official 'Trusted Thailand' website, where they can also register to evaluate and provide feedback on participating businesses.
TAT believes that the 'Trusted Thailand Stamp' label will significantly improve safety standards across the Thai tourism sector.
International travelers, particularly Chinese visitors, will be able to feel confident and travel without worry in Thailand.
In addition, this certification reflects Thailand's willingness to welcome tourists and provide them with optimal comfort during the high season.

I'm excited to see how it goes with immigration, which has become completely paranoid…
I come to Thailand three times a year to visit my girlfriend and daughter in Chiang Rai with a 60-day stamp, I only stay 60 days in December and January, the other two times I stay between 30 and 40 days max, I never do a visa run and yesterday I almost got refused at immigration and the person spoke to me like I was a criminal, fortunately the boss was more understanding…
It's becoming a bit of a mess…
On the one hand they complain about the lack of tourism and revenue and on the other hand immigration is starting to get really annoying…
And one more “security” label… ONE!!!
It will take just one highly publicized “kidnapping” carried out by the mafia call center ring that continues to trap new forced laborers and reduce them to slavery every day to discredit this label…
As if, by some miracle, companies that invest in security infrastructure to obtain this national label will see their staff transformed into security agents and specialized investigators for high-risk interventions in cases of scams, physical violence, or fraud targeting their tourist clientele…
Regarding agents, I'm surprised (once again) that these new prerogatives aimed at improving the security of private actors vis-à-vis their clients do not include the presence and participation of police forces in a system of enhanced coordination and surveillance through regular patrols and connection with local police stations, camera circuits that the establishments concerned must install…
Obviously, they have other fish to fry to certify their legendary “incorruptibility label” on their side!
The Thai Gadget inspectors will resume duty and recharge the batteries of their supercorruptor-controlator…
Attention, this is going to hurt !!!
