Two tourists were robbed by sex workers in the popular resort town of Pattaya on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand.
A Russian tourist was robbed of a gold necklace by two overly friendly transvestites while walking on Pattaya late on the night of Sunday 2 October to Monday 3 October.
At around 11:30 p.m., Vadim K, 31, filed a complaint with Pattaya police.
While walking along the beach path, he was approached by two scantily clad transvestites who offered him sexual services.
He refused the offer and tried to walk away.
The two people clung to him for a while before leaving.
He later discovered that his 18-carat gold necklace, worth around 120,000 baht (3,238.78 euros), had been stolen.

It seems that transvestites (katoy in Thai) have specialized in stealing gold necklaces. There was a similar case in March 2022 in Bangkok , the theft was even filmed by the victim.

On the same night of Sunday, October 2, Sekar M, 29, an Indian national, filed a complaint with the Pattaya police for meeting a Thai woman on Pattaya Beach and having sex in a hotel.
After the woman left, he found that her Huawei mobile phone, worth around 18,400 baht (485.82 euros), was missing.
He suspects the woman of stealing from him.
Even though prostitution is officially illegal in Thailand , the police accepted both complaints.
Property theft is rare in Thailand, but tourists are advised not to carry gold necklaces in tourist areas.

This is happening in Pattaya, not Thailand!
Don't confuse the two countries! lol
Stupid comment...
Pattaya is a Thai city, where Thai people live and which receives many Thai tourists in addition to foreign tourists.
It's as if you reduced Paris to the Bois de Boulogne and Rue Saint-Denis and decreed that Paris is not in France!
Stupid comment...
No humor. Take a sedative.
Humor?! Were we supposed to laugh out loud when we read your comment?
You must have come last in laughter school.
