Thailand will ease the conditions for obtaining a tourist visa

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has confirmed that from October, the travelers will no longer need to present proof of vaccination or Covid-19 test.

It will then be possible to travel to Thailand as before the pandemic and life in the country should return to normal, as with the closing hours of bars which currently have to close at 2 am.

The message from TAT:

The Thai Covid-19 Administration Centre (CCSA) announced the end of the national state of emergency over Covid-19 on September 30, 2022, with the kingdom reclassifying Covid from 'dangerous communicable disease' to 'communicable disease under surveillance' from October 1, 2022.

The CCSA has also announced that from October 1, 2022, international travelers to Thailand will no longer be required to present proof of vaccination or negative Covid test results.

The end of the Covid-19 emergency decree, which was renewed 19 times since March 25, 2020, will result in the automatic dissolution of the CCSA and the revocation of all regulations, announcements, and orders issued by the Prime Minister and the government under the decree.

Since the pandemic, Thailand has gradually reopened to international tourism from July 2021 with the Phuket Sandbox, Samui Plus, and 7+7 Extension programs.

This was followed by a four-phase reopening schedule from October 2021 to January 2022.

The kingdom has entered the full reopening phase from July 1, 2022, with the abolition of the Thailand Pass registration system.

Foreign nationals are only required to present proof of vaccination or a negative ATK test result within 72 hours of travel, which will be lifted from October 1, 2022.

In addition, the government has approved the extension of the stay period to 45 days (instead of 30 days) for tourists from countries/territories eligible for a visa exemption (such as France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Canada).

And to 30 days (instead of 15 days) for those who are eligible for a visa on arrival (VOA).

This measure will be in effect from October 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023.

The TAT will provide detailed information on these changes as soon as the official guidelines are published in the Royal Thai Government Gazette.

This is a partially incorrect analysis.

The fear of the virus among Thais is abnormal.

Or else, they have a special anatomy.

Because they will continue to wear masks for a long time.

And we (I) will suffer the complaints of bus drivers. It's very tiresome to stoop to a fearful people.
The slogan has become: COME MASKED.
