From a medical point of view, cannabis has undoubtedly proven its effectiveness.
I just returned from Thailand and it is true that cannabis vendors of all kinds have appeared, whether in shops or on street corners...
After street food, comes street cannabis, with joints ready to be smoked.
However, I don't think this situation is the best for the country.
In the absence of a personal comment (I am not at all an expert in the matter to make a relevant comment), I am giving you an article on the conclusions of a recent study published on November 18, 2022 in the press:
Smoking cannabis may be more harmful to the lungs than smoking tobacco, according to a Canadian study conducted on a small sample and published Tuesday in the journal Radiology.
Researchers from the University of Ottawa and Ottawa Hospital examined chest X-rays of 56 cannabis smokers, 57 non-smokers, and 33 people who smoked only tobacco between 2005 and 2020.
The result: They found higher rates of airway inflammation and emphysema (a lung disease) in cannabis smokers compared to tobacco smokers and non-smokers.
"Marijuana use is increasing and there is this idea that it is safe, or that it is safer than cigarettes," Giselle Revah, a radiologist at the Ottawa Hospital, where the research was conducted, told AFP. But this study raises concerns that this may not be accurate, she added.
According to this specialist, the higher rates of inflammation and disease in cannabis smokers compared to tobacco smokers could be linked to the different ways in which drugs are generally consumed.
"Marijuana is smoked without a filter, whereas tobacco generally is," she explained.
“When you smoke unfiltered marijuana, more particles reach your airways, settle there, and irritate them.”
Additionally, according to this expert, "people generally take larger puffs of marijuana and keep the smoke in their lungs longer, which can lead to greater trauma to these air spaces."

On the other hand, no one is complaining about it apparently, but they are having fun with the prices!!!
In the tourist areas of Bangkok etc... it's difficult to find anything below 5-600b/g, or around €17!
You have to look for small shops to find reasonable prices of 250-300b/g (which is still around 8€)
Maybe it will settle down in the long run...
