Thai government launches support program for rice farmers

How Thailand Became the World's Largest Rice Exporter with Help from Hong Kong

To cope with a dramatic drop in the price of rice, the Thai government has adopted a support program for rice farmers.

The price of rice has fallen to 130 euros per tonne, the lowest level in several decades.

This is yet another blow to Thai farmers who are currently preparing for the harvest.

Many of them are already over-indebted and are aware that they have been working at a loss.

To help them, the government has set up a limited financial support program, which only concerns the best qualities of rice.

For other rice qualities, the government is asking farmers to store their harvest while waiting for a price increase.

Western journalists compare the incomparable

Western media outlets, which are being encouraged by their leaders (linked to the Carlyle group) to demonize this government, are trying to compare this new aid to that granted by the former Prime Minister, Yingluck Shinawatra.

Just two weeks ago, this government fined the former minister €26 million to compensate for losses from a disastrous rice farmer support program that Thaksin Shinawatra's sister launched when she was in power.

But we cannot compare these aid plans; the first was designed to attract rice farmers before the elections and ultimately did more harm than good. The money was embezzled by the minister's relatives, leaving the rice farmers in a catastrophic situation.

The shadow of speculators?

Thailand had then lost its position as the world's leading rice producer, and it is possible that this whole operation was organized and planned for this reason, because it must be remembered that the Shinawatra family works for the Carlyle group and men like George Soros, the banker known for making fortunes by speculating and causing markets to collapse.

Soros had also enriched himself by attacking the baht during the Asian crisis of 1997 and his protégé, Thaksin Shinawatra, had also taken advantage of this to increase his fortune and take power easily, because the country was then ruined.

Did speculators get rich when Thailand lost its position as the world's leading producer?

One might ask the question, but to my knowledge there has been no investigation; currently they are mainly trying to find out who is lowering the price of rice.

Is the drop in rice prices linked to the king's death?

We know that the spectacular drop in the price of oil was intentional, linked in large part to the exploitation of medium shale gas and deposits on American soil and the refusal of its Saudi ally to reduce production while the Iranians are entering the market, which has allowed the US government to weaken the Russian economy and harm Venezuela.

One may wonder whether the current drop in rice prices is not the beginning of the destabilizing Western storm predicted by journalist Tony Cartalucci (see: Thailand: the truth before the destabilizing Western storm ).
