Ranking of the ten most beautiful beaches in Phuket

Here's a map of the island to help you find them:

Phuket Map

1 - Beaches of Phuket: Freedom Beach at Patong

Freedom Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island with very fine white sand and very clear blue water.

As the crow flies, it is not far from Patong Beach but yet it is much quieter because it is difficult to access.

To get to it, you have to either take a fishing boat, which is quite expensive (around 1200 baht for a group), or take a steep path through the jungle, and since it's a private path, you will be asked around 200 baht to pass.

You will find a restaurant and sun loungers there.

2 - Banana Beach or Banana Rock Beach, Laguna

Banana Beach Phuket

Facing the island of Koh He, it is a beach that has long been preserved from mass tourism, but is now more and more frequented.

Despite everything, the beach remains quiet and is always very beautiful.

You will find good restaurants there with lower prices than in the more touristy areas of the island.

3 - Beaches of Phuket: Kata Noi Beach at Kata

Kata Noy Phuket Beach

Located just south of Kata Beach, Kata Noi Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket.

Unlike its bigger sister, Kata Noi Beach is a bit less developed and quieter.

4 - Laem Singh Beach at Surin

Laem Sing Beach Phuket

Laem Singh Beach was relatively unknown until recently.

Nowadays, the beach is full of tourists, but you really can't blame them because it's an absolutely magnificent place worth visiting.

5 - Beaches of Phuket: Kata Beach

Kata Phuket Beach

Kata beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island, and it's normal, because it's one of the most beautiful.

It's where the Club Med is located.

Despite all the tourist activities on and around, the Kata beach is still very beautiful, lined with casuarina trees that allow those who want to stay in the shade.

6 - Nai Thon Beach, Laguna

Nai Thong Beach

Nai Thon Beach is a magnificent one-kilometer-long beach.

It is part of the Sirinath National Park and has thus been preserved from constructions, unlike other beaches on the island.

7 - Phuket Beaches: Nai Harn Beach

Nai Harn Beach Phuket

Nai Harn Beach with its beautiful white sand, is never as crowded as some of the most popular tourist beaches and, therefore, offers a more calm and relaxing atmosphere.

8 - Bang Tao Beach, Laguna

Bang Tao Beach Phuket

Bang Tao Beach is an eight-kilometer-long beach located north of Surin.

It is home to the Laguna complex, an area composed of seven luxury hotels and a private golf course.

The Laguna complex occupies a large part of the center of the beach.

It's maybe there that you'll meet stars…

9 - Phuket Beaches: Kamala Beach

Kamala Beach

Kamala Beach is 1 kilometer of white sand beach, the ideal destination for families who want to stay away from Patong and its sulfurous life.

Before Kamala was a small Muslim fishing village and although there is still a significant Muslim population, now Kamala is a lively and very touristy small town.

10 - Surin Beach in Surin

Surin Beach

Surin Beach is a long strip of golden sand that provides all the luxuries of Patong Beach without the dirty water and the huge mass of tourists.

The beach is famous for its crystal-clear water.
