Wat Arun, Temple of Dawn, is a Buddhist temple located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.

It includes a Prang (high tower) nearly 80 meters high covered in porcelain, it is one of the most visited monuments in Bangkok.

Wat Arun is located directly opposite Wat Pho, on the other side of the Chao Praya River, which you can easily cross by boat (for 3 baht).

It is open from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m., every day.

You can get there via the underground metro (MRT) by getting off at Silom station or via the skytrain (BTS): Ratchadamri station.

I find that Bangkok ultimately has little to offer.

The city has few interesting monuments. Cultural life is limited.

The city is full of shopping malls, but who wants to travel 12,000 kilometers to find themselves in a mall?
