Underwater weddings are held every year on Valentine's Day in Trang Province in southern Thailand.
During these weddings, the newlyweds, guided by a professional diver, exchange their vows by gestures and receive their marriage certificate in front of witnesses at a depth of 12 meters..
The Trang Underwater Wedding Festival is held from February 13th to 15th every year.
This year, 11 weddings have taken place so far in the picturesque setting of the Andaman Sea, off the west coast of Thailand.
The annual festival is a three-day celebration of Valentine's Day.
Newlyweds also participate in Buddhist activities for luck and blessings on the day of love.
Organizing this underwater wedding will cost you 30,000 baht (less than 900 euros), and a little more for accommodation, meals and diving lessons if you are a beginner.
In 1996, the event was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest underwater wedding.
